The Bloggers of The Home Depot’s 2016 Patio Style Challenge

We’re pleased and proud to introduce the talented individuals are taking part in year’s Patio Style Challenge. We asked these design and lifestyle bloggers to create comfortable and attractive outdoor spaces using patio furniture and outdoor accessories from The Home Depot.

First Row

Alexi is the Instagram junkie, Pinterest fanatic and DIY supporter behind Seeking Alexi, a blog hugely obsessed and wildly smitten with design, specifically graphic design, interior design, and lifestyle design. Through her freelance design studio—Seeking Alexi Design—Alexi specializes in branding and identity work, along with a wide spectrum of other services, such as: web design, blog design, app design, hand-lettering, wedding invitations, and more. When Alexi is not working or blogging, she spends time watching “Shark Tank,” hiking, or taking road trips.

Ashley of Little Miss Momma is a California girl, married to a Wyoming-bred guy, and together they made two blue-eyed baby boys. She is a momma, wife, free lance writer, mommy blogger, an independent marketing consultant and self-proclaimed glue gunning extraordinaire. Upon graduating from the University of Southern California, she joined the world of high heels, blazers and briefcases— until she welcomed early retirement from a career in marketing and public relations to stay home with her little man. Today you will find her keeping it real on her blog, as she writes about life lessons as a mother-in-training (with some crafting during nap time).

Chelsea of Making Home Base loves shopping, thrifting and the beach. On any given weekend you can catch her little family doing a combination of all three. She considers a trip to Target by herself the biggest gift ever. You’ll also notice here on her blog that Chelsea loves a good knock off. She loves saving money, so if she can create for less, you bet she’s going to and always share it on her blog!

Second Row

Chelsey is the voice behind Housewife2Hostess, a lifestyle blog about self improvement, home improvement and gorgeous parties. Chelsey invites readers to follow along as she balances motherhood, staying fit, creating beautiful things and checking-off all the dreams on her DIY and bucket lists.

On her blog, Lifestyled Atlanta, wardrobe stylist, blogger, and interior designer Courtney covers an array of topics, from fashion, to interiors and more. Courtney and her husband work as a team at their company, Mimosa Design Co., helping couples renovate, remodel and generally fix up their homes.

Gloribell of I Don’t Know How She Does It has always loved design. Ever since she was just a little girl, design has been the main motor in her life. Most of her background knowledge comes from being a graphic designer for more than 15 years. But, because the design urge was so strong to Gloribell, she had to look for some other ways to communicate how she felt about colors, symmetry, decor and every little detail in between. Now that she’s become an interior decorator/designer, her love for design has become more than a hobby. It is what she enjoys and does best.

Third Row

Katie is a full time blogger working and living in the sunny, beachy and beautiful Tampa Bay area. By day, she has a blast teaching Pure Barre classes. By night, you can find her working on her little piece of the internet, Helpful Homemade. Katie prides herself in being a girl on a regular budget and doesn’t think you have to break the bank to look and feel like a million bucks. Katie and her husband are in the process of decorating, remodeling and DIYing their house to make it into their perfect little space.

Katie Gavigan of Katie Gavigan Interiors has a remarkable ability to mix influences from many different cultures. She’s know for her own colorful eclectic look that’s collected, fresh and relaxed that’s right at home in her city of San Francisco.

Kennesha of Restoration House is a Southern transplant to the Pacific Northwest from Alabama who has now lived in the Seattle area for more than four years. She has a heart and passion for connecting others, gathering and seeing those around her flourish in ways they could never imagine and often expresses this through various creative media, including inspirational styling and design. When she’s not busy being a wife to her amazing husband or a mama to her four kids, she’s spending her time writing, blogging and encouraging others to live life uniquely and with passion.

Fourth Row

Kevin O’Gara is editor and founder of Thou Swell. He’s inspired by a mix of traditional and contemporary design. After voraciously pinning interiors throughout his early teens, Kevin decided to write and produce his own content. In 2013, he created Thou Swell, named after the famous jazz standard and inspired by the song’s spirit and nostalgia. In just a few years Thou Swell has become a destination for interior lovers and entertaining enthusiasts.

Nicole White Quinn of LiveLaughDecorate is the CEO/Design Principal of Nicole White Designs Interiors, a full-service boutique interior design firm, based in Miami, Florida. Nicole is an award-winning designer, whose projects have been featured in various publications including Better Homes and Garden magazine, Apartment Therapy, The Miami Herald and other publications. When not dreaming up new design plans, she enjoys traveling to some of her favorite cities, satisfying her foodie cravings at favorite restaurants, wine tastings, and spending time with her husband Patrick and toddler, Xavier.

The Rustic Life is blogger Sandra Downie‘s way of sharing her life and love of the rustic chic lifestyle. Based in Connecticut, her blog is my creative outlet where she spends time sharing all the beautiful things that she loves and that inspires her…home decorating and design, entertaining ideas, recipes, style, beauty tips and much more. She aims to share fresh ideas for designing and styling your life in a pretty, yet classically comfortable way.
