The Bloggers of The Home Depot’s 2016 Halloween/Harvest Style Challenge
We’re so excited to introduce you to our partners taking part in this year’s Halloween/Harvest Style Challenge. We asked each of these talented design bloggers to customize a Halloween or Harvest space using festive products and accessories available at The Home Depot.
Each one created a totally unique space, and we can’t wait to show them to you!

Alex is a stylist-turned-lifestyle blogger with almost one million followers on Pinterest. She started AVE Styles in 2010 and shares the beauty of life in motherhood, style and home. Her personal style can be described as East Coast meets West Coast, and she loves to take modern influences from fashion and mix them into her decor.
An Instagram junkie, Pinterest fanatic and DIY supporter, Alexi of Seeking Alexi is hugely obsessed and wildly smitten with graphic design, interior design and lifestyle design. Her career in graphic design combined with DIY projects, party planning and interior design create an inspirational and creative blog about her personal life and various projects. When Alexi is not working or blogging, she spends time traveling, hosting parties or spending time outdoors.
For Ashley, entertaining is in her blood. She has been planning parties since the age of nine and eventually turned her hobby into a party and entertaining blog, Let’s Mingle, in 2015. She swears by mailed invitations, fresh flowers on the table and dinners with great conversations lasting long into the evening. She’s a sugar addict (donuts, cake, pie…you name it), a lover of Starbucks lattes, a cozy sock aficionado (you can never have too many), a proud pug mommy of three and a believer that sprinkles make just about anything better.

Charlotte left the big city of New York in 2012 and lives with her family in the Connecticut suburbs. Ciburbanity (stands for City + Suburbs + Sanity) was born as a way to fill her time as a new stay-at-home mom. Charlotte writes about fixing up her 1850s historic home, her five small children and bringing flea market and vintage décor into a modern home.
Denise is the author of Pearmama. She’s a forty-something wife and mother to six children whose ages range from 10 through 18. She is Latina and loves all things Mexican folk art and Frida Kahlo. Culture is a very important aspect of her life, and it’s integrated into everything she does as a writer and artist and especially as a mother. She believes in encouraging the creative spirit in people because it makes them feel good about themselves.
Elisha of Pneumatic Addict is a life long DIYer and power tool junkie. Her blog offers in-depth tutorials on topics like furniture building, home decor and home improvement. She lives in Arizona with her husband and seven-year-old twin sons. When she’s not chasing after her boys, you can find Elisha in the garage, covered in sawdust.

Haneen is a mom of four with an art degree, currently pouring creative energy into her home on her blog Haneen’s Haven. She believes the home is the most fulfilling canvas, because it’s a “work of art” you live in; a place for you and your family to rest and play. She’s very naturally drawn to color and loves mixing pattern, texture and old and new to create a truly eclectic, livable space.
Jamison is a husband, father of two and former aerospace engineer now devoted to designing DIY furniture and publishing simple plans on his blog, Rogue Engineer. With their new family and new house, Jamison and his wife Jamie are always building cool new furniture and sharing tons of free plans with the world.
Katie lives and work in sunny Tampa Bay. By day, she has a blast teaching Pure Barre classes. By night, you can find her working on her little piece of the Internet at Helpful Homemade. She writes about DIY projects, personal style, beauty products she loves, a generous smattering of recipes and food and other goodies. She believes you don’t have to break the bank to make your home (or yourself!) look and feel like a million bucks.

Sandra believes her style on The Rustic Life is effortless, classically elegant and relaxed all at the same time. She loves cooking and bridging new flavors in the kitchen, playing with flowers to make people smile, DIYing and in general making daily life special and pretty. Sandra loves inspiring others to be at their creative best, to do what they love and to surround themselves with things and people that inspire them.
Sarah S. is an insurance executive by day and blogger/DIYer/home decor enthusiast every other waking minute. Although her formal education is in mathematics and statistics with a graduate degree in business, Sarah feels just as drawn to her artistic side, as is evidenced by her love of all things decor and design related. Sarah started her blog, Life on Virginia Street, after she and her husband purchased their third home so she could document the process of the many design and decor projects they’ve tackled along the way.
Sarah V. is an avid DIY-er, Instagram addict and lover of vintage. She enjoys giving new life to old things and filling her home with unique pieces that have a story. You can usually find her hunting treasures at yard sales and auctions or painting an old piece of furniture. Her blog, Little Vintage Nest, is a happy place where Sarah shares her passion for all things home, farmhouse style, decorating tips and more. She lives in beautiful Colorado with her her husband and two children.

Scott A. Stoll is a self-taught artist born and raised in the sleepy town of Reed City, Michigan. During his teenage years, he developed a deep passion for science fiction and horror. After graduating from Ferris State University with a bachelor’s degree in Television Production, he continued his love for the genres and started to play with papier mache as a means to create his own visions of all things fantastical on his blog, Stolloween. Today, Scott is an award winning papier mache artist specializing in Halloween figures and continues to push the boundaries of the papier mache medium.
Serena is the face behind Thrift Diving, a blog that inspires people to decorate, improve and maintain their homes on a DIY budget. She decorates based on passion and inspiration, not necessarily what’s popular or “in” at the time. When it comes to decorating, she is frugal and loves to create as much as she can by hand. If she can buy it from a thrift store, she will! Serena believes there is something magical about the transformation from ugly to beautiful that inspires her every time.
Shonee is the gal behind the blog Hawthorne and Main, a place for all things creative, from home decor ideas to DIY projects and home renovations on a budget. She love to create and craft daily! When she isn’t being creative she loves to spend time with her hubby, who she affectionately calls Mr. Main, and her two little girls.
