Halloween/Harvest Style Challenge

Meet the Bloggers of the 2017 Halloween/Harvest Style Challenge

We’re excited to introduce you to our partners participating in this year’s Halloween/Harvest Style Challenge. We asked each of these talented bloggers to create a Halloween or Harvest space using festive products and accessories available at The Home Depot.

Each space is totally unique, and we can’t wait to show them to you! Read more for each designer’s bio, and follow along to see how each of their Halloween/Harvest Style Challenge space turned out.

First Row

Aniko is a photographer, artist, stylist, DIYer and the creative mind behind Place Of My Taste. She loves to design and decorate, create, and inspire others. Aniko runs a family business with her husband in Richmond, VA. She is also a part-time photographer at Aniko Levai Photography. Her work has been published in several national publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, Good Housekeeping and The New Pioneer. Her creations have also been featured on many large sites, including Apartment Therapy, Design Sponge, BHG and DIY Network. She keeps herself busy with juggling family life and work most days. When she is not digging deep into projects, Aniko loves to spend time outdoors with her precious boys and family.

Courtney is the creator, designer and blogger of The Hamby Home. Courtney started her blog with the desire to create a beautiful and welcoming home that was budget friendly. Her passion for creating and thinking outside the box led to many projects for her and her husband that they proudly share in their home. Her style is a mix of traditional and rustic and could be classified as a collected style. She loves old and new, repurposed and created! She loves to inspire and encourage by sharing little bits of her life, their furbabies, their projects and home!

Danielle’s blog, Finding Silver Pennies, is all about restoring her historic home, painting furniture and sharing all she has learned along the way. She loves blue and white, long walks on the beach, her coastal town, her little family and English accents.

Second Row

Haneen is a mom of four with an art degree, currently pouring creative energy into making her house a home. She loves color and pattern, and mixing old and new to create truly eclectic spaces with a story. Haneen’s work has been shared on House Beautiful, Better Homes & Gardens and HGTV. When she isn’t painting, brainstorming or blogging at Haneen’s Haven, she’s singing in her car or using sarcasm to get her through motherhood.

Lynn Ferris’ love for the holidays, entertaining and decorating prompted her to create Holiday Decor & More, a design and decorating service that specializes in holidays, weddings and special occasions. Halloween has always been a particular favorite, and Lynn’s creative vision has made her home an annual destination for trick-or-treaters. Having recently relocated to Ulster County, NY, Lynn is now looking forward to sharing her Halloween creations and other holiday decor with her new neighbors and clients.

Maryann is a Southern California native where she lives with her husband and three kids. She started blogging in 2009 as a hobby and a place to share her love of creating a home you love on a budget. Over the years her blog has turned into a business where she shares DIY projects, home decor, recipes and seasonal crafts on her site, Domestically Speaking.

Third Row

Scott is a self taught artist born and raised in the sleepy town of Reed City, MI, and during his teenage years developed a deep passion for science fiction and horror. After graduating from Ferris State University with a bachelor’s degree in Television Production, he continued his love for the genres and started to play with papier-mâché as a means to create his own visions of all things fantastical. Today, Stoll is an award winning papier-mâché artist specializing in Halloween related subject matter and continues to push the boundaries of the papier-mâché medium. His work is typically characterized by the use of recycled and commonly found materials and has been featured in The Midland Daily News, Great Lakes Bay Region Lifestyle Magazine and on The Home Depot Blog. In April 2013, Scott opened STOLLOWEEN Studio at 716 George Street in Midland, MI. The studio serves as his personal workshop and classroom for those interested in learning a variety of papier-mâché techniques. Scott lives in Midland, MI, with his wife and two sons and when not working still enjoys watching a good science fiction or horror movie.

Toni has been blogging for many years at Design Dazzle. She has been a DIYer for as long as she can remember. After purchasing her first home, Toni enjoyed remodeling, designing and working on home projects. She enjoys collecting cans of paint for all her projects. She loves being a designer, decorator, traveler, stylist, crafter, party planner, treat maker, holiday lover, DIYer and memory maker! Her blog encompasses ideas and inspiration for life’s celebrations, home projects, DIY and crafts, holiday fun, travel and more! Toni teaches classes on many subjects and has had her parties and design work published in magazines.
