Create Your Own Unique Wedding Bouquet
Materials
- Liberty Hardware 1¼ in. White Ceramic Rose Knob
- Liberty Hardware 1¼ in. Pink Ceramic Rose Knob
- Liberty Hardware 1¼ in. Gray Ceramic Melon Knob
- Liberty Hardware 1¼ in. White Ceramic Melon Knob
- Liberty Hardware 1-3/16 in. Crystal Knob
- Liberty Hardware 1¼ in. Satin Nickel and Clear Bubble Glass Knob
- Liberty Hardware 1¼ in. Fluted Glass Knob
- Sharpie
- Everbilt 1 in. Hanger Bolt
- Everbilt 1½ in. Hanger Bolt
- Hot Glue Gun
- 9- or 12-in. Floral Cone
- A Yard of Fabric
Step 1: Measure and Mark
Place your floral cone in the corner of the bottom layer of fabric. You will ultimately cut a square to wrap around the floral cone.
Flip the cone on the top circular edge to gauge the amount of fabric needed to cover the cone. Mark the corners of you square with a sharpie.
Step 2: Cut Fabric
Cut the fabric along a straight line from the edge into the corner you marked.
Repeat for the other side until you have a loose square of fabric to work with.
Step 3: Attach Hanger Bolt
Choose your first knob from a variety of knobs, this is where you will begin to build your bouquet out. In this case, the first knob is the White Ceramic Rose Knob for a soft vintage feel.
Screw the flat threaded edge of the hanger bolt into the threaded base of the cabinet knob.
Step 4: Insert Knob
Using the pointy edge of the hanger bolt push the knob and stem into the floral cone leaving enough room to build around with other knobs.
Step 5: Glue Base
Use a hot glue gun to dab a bead of glue on the base of the hanger bolt and the floral cone to seal the hanger bolt into place.
Be careful here, if the glue is too hot, it can melt the Styrofoam floral cone.
Step 6: Build Out Knobs
This color palette worked best with clear glass, pink, white, and gray ceramics. We used a variety of knobs from the classic elegant Crystal Knob to a more eclectic Bubble Glass Knob to create a unique and appealing aesthetic.
The trick here is to build your bouquet as you go and continually add shapes, colors and sizes that fit the overall look.
You can fill out any empty spots with flowers if needed.
Step 6: Glue Fabric
Take your floral cone with knobs attached and place it on the square of fabric. Fold the corner of the fabric over the cone and secure with hot glue.
Tightly wrap one side of the fabric around the cone and secure with hot glue. Repeat this for the other side of the loose fabric until the cone is wrapped entirely. Depending on how much excess fabric you have at the top of your bouquet, you may need to cut off the excess with scissors.
Repeat these steps for additional layers of fabric if desired.
Step 7: Your Completed Wedding Bouquet
And that’s your completed unique wedding bouquet.
