Jessica Camerata of My Style Vita likes to update her entryway for the holidays. To make her festive entryway, she used supplies from The Home Depot to transform her entryway into a Christmas showcase.
We invited her to take part in our Holiday Style Challenge and sent Jessica a mystery box of Home Depot Christmas decorations along with a Home Depot gift card to get her started on her Christmas decorating.
When the holidays begin to roll around, the first thing I always update to help transform my space into a festive oasis, is the entryway. It’s the first thing my friends and family see when they walk in and helps to set the tone for the season.
Since my entryway is small and all indoors, it can be a bit of a challenge to decorate this space. Some of my favorite ways to add some holiday cheer to the foyer and entryway are easy and can make a big statement.
How to Create a Festive Entryway for Christmas
One thing I always do for each season is add a new wreath to my door. We went with a classic Christmas wreath with touches of red cranberries and pinecones.
I then swapped out my blush pink entryway table for a gold bar cart. It’s a great piece to decorate with the additional shelf and the gold really tied in the festive feel we were going for.
I strung Home Depot’s pre-lit garland around the entire front of the cart to dress it up. The lights really add a nice ambiance to my space come night time.
With a few decorative accents like a snowflake bowl full of ornaments, a FA LA LA chalkboard and gold reindeer, this entry way table is feeling ready for Christmas.
My favorite way to display my holiday cards each year is on my gold starburst Martha Stewart mirror. It’s the perfect place to see all my cards in one place. Before this, I would just plop them in a pile on my desk and never get a moment to enjoy them. Now they’re up for everyone to see and make for a great spot to stop and read all the love for the season.
There’s nothing better than welcoming your guests this holiday with a festive entryway. Whether you add a wreath, some garland or find a creative way to display your holiday cards, there’s always something you can do to your space big or small.
