Halloween and Harvest Botanical Bounty Decor

It’s no secret that flora has taken over modern décor. Beautiful spaces are increasingly accented with textural succulents for an injection of freshness that pulls the whole look together. Our Halloween and Harvest Style Challenge participants show us all how to take advantage of seasonal bounty to tie a design together, and reflect the time of year!

Charlotte of Ciburbanity has perfected the botanical harvest look in her fall mantel decorations. With a mixture of lush green succulents, mums and pumpkins, her fall mantle is a seasonal garden in itself. Her large glass cloche overflows with metallic pumpkins and fall-colored gourds and is a modern spin on the traditional harvest cornucopia. Using faux pumpkins as planters, Charlotte created an interesting aesthetic that enhances her horticultural harvest elements and takes only seconds to put together.

This truly unique harvest statement arbor was created by Haneen of Haneen’s Haven. Small branches and miniature orange and white pumpkins are beautifully woven around the copper piping framework in her fall mantel decor. We’ve lost count, but see if you can find all the pumpkins hidden throughout Haneen’s stunning fall mantel design!

Sandra Downie of The Rustic Life gave her mudroom a fall makeover and incorporated one of our favorite seasonal plants—mums! She found so many ways to bring the outdoors into her design by including life-sized corn stalks, pumpkins and hay bales – a true bounty of traditional fall elements.

Sandra filled her DIY planter boxes with a mix of mums and ornamental cabbage. The dark green and bright orange colors add depth to her beautiful fall color palette. She also included this fun jack-o-lantern inspired planter to display her festive orange mums!

Mums, succulents and kale, oh my! Sarah Stewart of Life on Virginia Street brought some great natural elements together, creating a lovely Thanksgiving tablescape. Warm autumnal tones with a hint of fresh green set the scene for a welcoming harvest theme — perfect for a meal surrounded by loved ones.

Who said you have to use live plants to decorate your home? Jamison Rantz of Rogue Engineer created a spooky Halloween mantel  without even making a trip to the store! A few branches from his yard and some faux maple leaves caught throughout this spiderweb were the perfect spooky accents for his Halloween design.

Spooky meets chic with this beautiful centerpiece. Who knew jack-o-lanterns (originally sold as lawn markers) could be so versatile? Shonee Smith of Hawthorne and Main isn’t afraid to have a healthy mix of the living and the dead in her festive Halloween tablescape with its contrasting skulls and jack-o-lanterns and classic floral design. Adding a natural touch to classic Halloween decorations is the perfect way to elevate your style this fall!

Katie Compton of Helpful Homemade created these clever bouquets using plastic eyeballs as the center of each colorful mum in her whimsical Halloween decorations. This macabre arrangement will not only entertain the kids, but is a fun way to share your darker side.

This fall season, don’t be afraid to bring the richness of the outdoors inside! From succulents to branches and everything in between, natural elements are the perfect compliment to any holiday design.
